Vertical Aerospace Completes First Piloted One-Way Transition Flight

Vertical Aerospace has achieved its first piloted one-way transition flight with its VX4 prototype, marking progress in eVTOL air taxi development.
The flight involved vertical takeoff, acceleration into wingborne flight, and conventional runway landing. During the test, the aircraft reached 65 kt, about half its top speed. Vertical hopes to certify its Valo aircraft by 2028, but financial concerns remain.
