The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has released the nation's first Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) National Strategy, outlining a roadmap to accelerate American aviation innovation.
This strategy includes 40 recommendations to safely and efficiently integrate AAM aircraft into the national transportation system. The initiative aims to position the U.S. as a global leader in next-generation aviation, transforming travel, emergency response, healthcare access, and cargo delivery.
The plan aims for initial AAM operations by 2027 and fully autonomous flights by 2035. This comprehensive roadmap, developed in collaboration with Congress and private industry, aims to accelerate the development and deployment of AAM within the national transportation system.
